Two Days Holiday For Education Instructions
Hyderabad: (Bureau Report)The Telangana government has declared a two-day holiday for all educational institutions in the state on Wednesday, July 26, and Thursday, July 27, 2023. The decision was taken due to heavy rains and floods in the state. The holidays are applicable to all government and private schools, colleges, and other educational institutions.
The announcement was made by the Education Minister, Sabitha Indra Reddy She said that the holidays have been declared “in view of the heavy rainfall in the state and under the instructions of the Honourable CM, KCR.
The state is under orange and yellow alerts as three different weather systems have affected the region, causing significant rainfall. The rains have caused widespread flooding and damage to property. Several roads and bridges have been washed away, and there have been reports of landslides.
The government has advised people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. It has also set up relief camps for those affected by the floods.
The two-day holiday will give students and teachers a chance to stay safe and avoid the hazards of traveling during the monsoon season. It will also give the government time to assess the damage caused by the rains and to make arrangements for relief and rehabilitation.
